Benefits
All-Round Immune Support
Aim to not only strengthen the immune response but also to provide resilience against common ailments. This is particularly useful during seasonal changes and periods of stress, when immune function can be compromised.
Sore Throat Soothing
An effective remedy for soothing sore throats. Its coats the inner lining of the throat, offering a soothing effect, while its antimicrobial properties can help combat the pathogens responsible for the soreness. Additionally, its anti-inflammatory effects help reduce swelling and irritation that often accompany a sore throat.
Featured Ingredients
We hold ourselves to the highest standard, abiding by a principle steered by solid, scientific evidence. And remember, if we wouldn't happily put an ingredient into our own bodies, you'll never find it in our range. It's our promise to you.
Myrrh
Myrrh is a light orange resin extracted from a species of thorny desert tree in the genus Commiphora. It is native to northeast Africa and areas of the Arabian Peninsula. Its fragrance as incense is legendary. Myrrh's medicinal reputation is also celebrated by a variety of ancient civilisations. The broad range of applications included circulatory stimulants, analgesic and hormonal regulation. It's a popular pharmacological addition to gargles and mouthwashes featuring consistently in oral health formulas.
Sage (Salvia officinalis)
Sage is a perennial, evergreen short, woody shrub with silvery gray leaves and purple flowers. It is native to the Mediterranean region, but now cultivated in many parts of the world. It is widely used as a culinary herb and has a savory, slightly peppery flavour. It has long been used in perfumes, skin care and is known to have a calming, grounding effect on the mind. It also soothes mucous membranes in the nose, throat and chest.
Licorice Root (Glycyrrhiza glabra)
Licorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra) has the ability to support the body's tolerance to physical, mental and emotional stress. It contains glycyrrhizin which has a similar structure to the hormones produced by the adrenal glands (including cortisol). Licorice provides support for adrenal exhaustion which can interfere with normal sleep.
Thyme (Thymus vulgaris)
Thyme (Thymus vulgaris) provides powerful natural support for the body's immune defences and respiratory system, which includes helping to clear mucus from lungs and airways. ThymeMed is Artemis' exclusive plant extract made from Central Otago Thyme.
Chamomile in Supplements
A well-known calming herb prized for its therapeutic prowess. Known for promoting sleep, easing anxiety, and soothing gastrointestinal issues, chamomile is an excellent choice to support overall relaxation, stress relief as well as the gut-brain axis. It also helps to support the digestive system and reduce bloating and gas.
