Aniseed is derived from a herbaceous, flowering plant that grows to around 90cm. It is native to the eastern Mediterranean region and Southwest Asia. It's medicinally well known for its presence in gripe water to ease stomach complaints. Aniseed's anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties have been used for centuries as an expectorant and for dry coughs. The seeds have long been used to add scent, flavour and digestive support to a huge variety of foods and beverages.
Chamomile in Supplements
A well-known calming herb prized for its therapeutic prowess. How to Use
Recommended Dosage
Use 1 heaped teaspoon (1000mg) per cup (150ml) and infuse with boiling water for 5-10 minutes.
Pro Tip
Adults and children over 12 years: 150ml
Children 6-12 years: 100ml
Children 1-6 years: 50ml
Infants 0-12 months: 10ml
Repeat up to 3 x daily after food or as needed.
For children and infants, make an adult dose and extract the required volume. For long-standing issues, take for a minimum of 6 weeks.
