Fennel
A traditional herbal galactagogue used to support breast milk volume and flow. It is also a natural carminative which helps to relieve gastrointestinal upset and support feelings of gas and digestive discomfort.
Aniseed (Pimpinella anisum)
Aniseed is derived from a herbaceous, flowering plant that grows to around 90cm. It is native to the eastern Mediterranean region and Southwest Asia. It's medicinally well known for its presence in gripe water to ease stomach complaints. Aniseed's anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties have been used for centuries as an expectorant and for dry coughs. The seeds have long been used to add scent, flavour and digestive support to a huge variety of foods and beverages.
Chamomile in Supplements
A well-known calming herb prized for its therapeutic prowess. Known for promoting sleep, easing anxiety, and soothing gastrointestinal issues, chamomile is an excellent choice to support overall relaxation, stress relief as well as the gut-brain axis. It also helps to support the digestive system and reduce bloating and gas.
Nettle (Urtica dioica)
Nettle (Urtica dioica) supports the body’s elimination organs (kidney, bladder, liver, pancreas, gallbladder) with a profound cleansing action on all types of tissue. Its abundant mineral and trace-mineral content helps to remineralise wasted cartilage and connective tissue, which is especially beneficial for supporting joint mobility.
Raspberry Leaf (Rubus idaeus)
Raspberry leaf (Rubus idaeus) is a uterine tonic that supports tone of uterine tissues and a healthy endometrium. It contains high levels of manganese and moderate levels of iron, calcium, selenium and vitamins A and C – all important nutrients to support fertility.
